Show this Weekend

I have so many excuses for not posting recently but really...there's no excuse. I'll do better. For all of you I have yet to email about the classes, stay tuned. I'll be posting more information about that mid December. For now, if you have a book style you really want to learn, please leave a comment and I'll take that into consideration as I'm setting up the workshops and classes. :)

This week I'll be in Utah County again. See the ad below and come visit me. This will be the last craft show of the year and probably for a while since I'll be teaching come January.

Check it out!

Daniel and I just finished a few custom orders for large longstitch books. I absolutely love them. It seems others do too because we've sold a couple and even had one on the front page of Etsy! In fact, I've been on Etsy's front page featured items four times this month.

I know this because of Craftcult.com which holds a vault of all the treasury lists and items that make it to the front page. You can even do a search of your etsy username to find the lists that you've been in on the front page. I love it. This list tells me that I've been on Etsy's front page featured items 18 times since April.

Treasuries

I love making treasuries on Etsy and I happened to snatch one last night. Here is the lovely result:

And this is a treasury done by Walrustusk that features my Robin's Egg Blue Leather Coptic Bound Book.

Japanese Stab Stitch

While sewing a book the other day, I broke 3 needles. Yes. 3.

Two were on the same hole. For future reference, always make sure that your sewing holes are large enough for your thread, especially when using 4 ply.
